C.H. Robinson Reports Improved First-Quarter Income

ransportation and logistics firm C.H. Robinson Worldwide late Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $58.1 million or 33 cents a share, up from $41.8 million or 24 cents a year earlier.

Total transportation gross profit for the quarter increased 27.9% to $255.1 million, the company said in a statement.

Truck gross profit rose 26.7% and intermodal gross profit rose 14%, the company said.



Total revenue for the quarter rose to $1.5 billion for the quarter, from $1.2 billion a year earlier. Transportation revenue rose to $1.2 billion for the quarter, from $999.9 million a year earlier.

C.H. Robinson is ranked No. 14 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of the largest North American logistics companies.
