C.H. Robinson Worldwide reported higher third-quarter profit, led by improved performance in its logistics operations.
Net income rose to $116.3 million, or 72 cents a share, from $114 million, or 70 cents, a year ago.
Revenue rose 6.9% to $2.9 billion, the transportation and third-party logistics company said late Tuesday.
Total transportation revenue rose 2.2% to $382 million, with truck revenue increasing 2.1% to $328 million.
Intermodal revenue fell 4.4% to $10 million, and air revenue fell 9% to about $9 million, while ocean revenue rose 3.5% to $18.5 million. Other logistics revenue jumped 16.6% to $17.2 million.
