Celadon Logistics said it has been selected to provide transportation management services to Commercial Vehicle Group for CVG’s North American operations.

Celadon is now CVG’s leading logistics provider and will oversee the majority of CVG’s North American transportation network, including freight sourcing, execution, optimization and freight audit and payment.

“Celadon Logistics has proven to be very innovative in managing our freight and logistics network,” Patrick Miller, president of global truck and bus at CVG, said in a statement. “We look forward to leveraging their expertise to continue to gain efficiencies and drive costs out of our operation.”

Celadon Logistics began working with CVG in early 2011 by providing less-than-truckload services to CVG’s newly open plant in Saltillo, Mexico.

“We’ve been able to drive cost savings and process efficiencies through mode changes and a carrier bid process,” Jon Russell, president of Celadon Logistics, said in a statement. “We appreciate the confidence that CVG has shown in Celadon Logistics, and we look forward to becoming an even stronger logistics partner in the coming years.”

Celadon Group ranks No. 44 in the Transport Topics Top 100 list of for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
