Celadon Announces Executive Changes

Truckload carrier Celadon Group Inc. announced that it has appointed Paul Will as chairman and CEO and Eric Meek as president and chief operating officer.

Prior to the changes, Will was president, CEO and vice chairman and Meek served as executive vice president and COO.

Founder Stephen Russell, who was previously chairman, continues to serve as a board member.

“These actions mark the culmination of a successful succession planning effort over the past several years,” said Russell, who added that Will and Meek “consistently demonstrated the business acumen, leadership skills and commitment to Celadon’s people that indicated their readiness for their respective positions.”

Celadon, based in Indianapolis, ranks No. 44 on the Transport Topics top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
