Celadon to Acquire Canadian Carrier Hyndman Transport

Celadon Trucking Services said it will acquire Canadian carrier Hyndman Transport Ltd. Terms were not disclosed.

Hyndman Transport, Wroxeter, Ontario, operates about 175 tractors and generated about $48 million in revenue in 2012.

Hyndman President Mike Campbell and Jeff Sippel, Hyndman’s chief financial officer, will continue to help manage and service existing Hyndman business under Celadon.

Celadon said the acquisition will expand its Canadian footprint and “advance [its] overall growth plans by delivering growth in [its] dry van, cross-border transportation service offering.”



Celadon Trucking Services is a unit of Celadon Group, which is ranked No. 44 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
