Carrier Logistics Enhances Dock System

Carrier Logistics, Tarrytown, N.Y., said its technology has new features, such as preventing loading on the wrong trailer, capturing the dimensions of a shipment, tracking on a per-piece basis and fully automated paperwork.

Other features include scanning freight by using handheld devices to eliminate errors and precise shipment location information, the company said in a June 7 statement.

In addition, the product tracks shipments — and who handled them — as well as incorporating information as to when shipments are reweighed to assure proper pricing of a load.
