Canadian National's 2Q Income Falls 16%

Canadian National Railway said late Monday its second-quarter net income fell 16% to C$387 million, or 82 cents a share, from C$459 million, or 95 cents, a year ago.

Revenue fell 15.1% to C$1.8 billion as the railway “saw a continuation of significant weakness in most of our commodity groups,” CN said in a statement.

Canadian National is Canada’s largest freight railroad.
