British Air to Take Part in E-Freight Trial

British Airways’ freight division will take part in what it says is the first trial to replace paper documents with electronic processes when transporting cargo, the U.K. Web site Computing reported Thursday.

E-freight is one of the International Air Transport Association’s priorities to simplify business processes at airlines by the end of this year, the Web site said.

The trial, scheduled to run between August and December, could lead to significant cost savings, Computing said.
