Bridgestone Adds Interstate Batteries to Speedco’s Offerings

Bridgestone Americas Inc. has launched battery services nationwide at subsidiary Speedco, which provides on-highway preventive maintenance and tire service for the commercial trucking industry.

The battery service program includes free battery testing and the addition of Interstate Batteries to the service center’s product offering, Bridgestone said.

“Speedco is working to defeat downtime by providing owner-operators and fleets the essential products and solutions their trucks need matched with the best customer service possible,” Speedco President Chris Ripani said in a statement. “Batteries are an important part of that equation.”

Speedco has 51 on-highways locations, with plans to bring full-service solutions to truckers in more high-traffic areas, according to Nashville, Tennessee-based Bridgestone.

Bridgestone Americas is the U.S. subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp., the world’s largest tire and rubber company.
