Bison Transport Appoints New Chairman, President

Bison Transport, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, appointed Don Streuber executive chairman and said he would retain his duties as CEO. He most recently was president.

Also, Bison promoted Rob Penner to president from executive vice president. He will retain his duties as chief operating officer.

The company said the changes were made to reflect recent and anticipated growth.

Bison Transport ranks No. 59 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada with 2014 revenues of $489 million, up 0.8% from the year before.



In addition, Norm Blagden was promoted to president of flatbed subsidiary Searcy Trucking from vice president.

Searcy also operates the Manitoba-based carriers Renolds Transport and Universal Reload.

Also, the company reported Damiano Coniglio now is vice president of finance and chief finance officer of Bison Diversified Inc., Bison Transport’s parent company. Coniglio most recently was Bison’s vice president of strategic development.
