ATRI Seeking For-Hire Carrier Data for Annual Report

The American Transportation Research Institute is seeking data from for-hire carriers for the annual update to its Operational Costs of Trucking report. The brief online questionnaire covers information such as driver pay, fuel costs, insurance premiums and lease or purchase payments. Carriers are asked to provide cost-per-mile and cost-per-hour data for 2015.

The results of the data collection, combined with previous reports, will yield trucking cost information from 2008 to 2015 derived directly from fleet operations.

"ATRI's annual Operational Costs of Trucking report is a key benchmark that we rely on to identify where we might improve our operating efficiency,” said Sherri Garner Brumbaugh, CEO of Garner Transportation Group and a member of ATRI's Research Advisory Committee. “Providing the information to ATRI is easy to do, and I encourage my colleagues throughout the industry to participate in this vital data collection."

Each carrier’s data is kept confidential. The survey is available at www.atri-online.org through June 17, and the results will be published later this year.
