ATRI Issues Final Request for HOS Sleeper-Berth Data

The American Transportation Research Institute issued a final call Tuesday for motor carrier safety data to measure the effects of the federal hours-of-service rule’s split sleeper-berth provisions.The group — a not-for-profit research organization research arm of the trucking industry and an affiliate of American Trucking Associations — would like interested motor carriers to submit data by Friday, Jan. 26.The data collection period is for carrier safety data from the fourth quarter of 2006.Carriers interested in providing data can contact Brian Smith of ATRI at 770-432-0628 or e-mail bsmith@trucking.org.(Click here for previous coverage.)
