Atlas Air Reports Fourth-Quarter, Full-Year Profit

ir cargo carrier Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings earned $27.5 million or $1.32 a share in the fourth quarter of last year, compared with $27 million or $1.32 a year earlier.

The company’s revenue for the quarter rose to $470.9 million, from $428.7 million a year earlier, it said Thursday.

For the full year the company earned $73.9 million or $3.56 a share, on revenue of $1.6 billion.

Atlas emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in July 2004 and the company said in a statement that its financial statements since then are not comparable with those before its bankruptcy.
