ATA Seeks Nominations for 2015-2016 America’s Road Team
American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for professional truck drivers to serve as Road Team captains on the 2015-2016 America’s Road Team.
America’s Road Team, sponsored by Volvo Trucks North America, will spend several days each month meeting with government leaders, transportation officials, news media and the motoring public to discuss the importance of highway safety.
“America’s Road Team are great ambassadors for our industry,” ATA President Bill Graves said. “They have represented all segments of trucking and every region of the country, and I look forward to this new team continuing to reflect that diversity.”
Every two years, ATA searches for professional drivers with superior skills and strong safety records who are willing to take time away from the cab to demonstrate the trucking industry’s commitment to safety.
Road Team captains have traveled the country since 1986, educating millions of people on the importance of safety, the essentiality of trucking and the need for pride and professionalism within the industry.
