ATA Opens Nomination Process for ‘Good Stuff’ Award

American Trucking Associations said it has started accepting nominations for its annual Mike Russell “Good Stuff” Trucking Image Award.

The award recognizes trucking companies, state trucking associations and other related companies that work to improve the image of the trucking industry, ATA said.

“It is important to highlight trucking’s role as the backbone of the American economy,” ATA President Bill Graves said in a statement. “Our industry is not only essential, but safe and sustainable. We are looking forward to this year’s nominations and recognizing those that promote our image year round.”

The award, sponsored by trucking software company TMW Systems Inc., is announced each year at ATA’s Management Conference & Exhibition, which is scheduled for Oct. 19-22 in Orlando, Fla.

Last year’s winners were YRC Worldwide Inc., TravelCenters of America and the Nevada Trucking Association.

More information about the nomination process is on ATA’s website.
