“What we did . . . is to look at the possible legal outcomes,” said Warren Hoemann, ATA senior vice president of councils and conferences, who spearheaded the effort. “Whenever the court decision comes down, then say we have legal outcome ‘A,’ what are the regulatory steps we have to take, what filings do we need to make with [the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration], who do we need to partner with in doing so, is there any court action we need to take, is there action we need to take on the Hill?”Hoemann spoke to Transport Topics during ATA’s annual winter leadership meeting here last week.For the full story, see the Feb. 19 print edition of Transport Topics.
