eavy-duty components maker ArvinMeritor said Monday it will open a new plant in China to build axles and suspensions for trailer manufacturers in that country, and for export markets in North America and Europe.
ArvinMeritor said the 300,000-square-foot plant will be located in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, and will begin production in the first half of next year.The investment includes $35 million for new equipment, ArvinMeritor said in a statement.
