ArvinMeritor Opens Tech Center in India

ArvinMeritor Inc. said it has opened a technical center in Bangalore, India, to provide product development for its axle and brake products.

The center is meant to support business growth in countries such as China and India, Tim Bowes, vice president and managing director for the Asia/Pacific region, said Thursday.

With the opening of the facility that will have approximately 100 workers, ArvinMeritor will have research and development facilities in four countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and India.
