Army Awards FedEx, UPS Small Package Delivery Contracts

he Army has awarded delivery contracts to FedEx and UPS for the Defense Logistics Agency’s surface small package program, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

FedEx received an order worth about $11.5 million as part of a $48.2-million contract, according to AP.

UPS received a delivery order worth more $13 million as part of a $51.4-million contract, AP said.



UPS and FedEx are respectively ranked No. 1 and No. 2 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in the United States and Canada.
