American Road Lines to Buy Kansas City Trucking Firm

merican Road Lines has reached a preliminary agreement to buy Pro-Fleet Transportation & Logistics, the Kansas City Star reported Saturday.

Ron Faherty, ARL’s president, told the paper the company signed a letter of intent to buy Kansas City, Mo.-based Pro-Fleet, though no terms were disclosed.

e said no personnel changes are expected at Pro-Fleet, which has about 100 employees, the Star reported. ARL is headquartered in Moon Township, Pa.



Pro-Fleet has more than 100 tractors in its fleet, according to its Web site. It operates in markets in Kansas City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and the New York and Newark, N.J., area.

ARL network has more than 600 trucks, the Star said, citing Faherty.
