Amazon to Open Distribution Center in N.J.

Amazon.com said it plans to open a 1-million-square-foot distribution center in New Jersey that it expects will create hundreds of jobs.

The Robbinsville, N.J., facility would be the online retailer’s first in the state and is expected to be completed early next year at a cost of $200 million.

“Amazon’s multimillion-dollar investment in this one facility alone is expected to result in the creation of hundreds of full-time jobs in addition to temporary, seasonal and construction jobs,” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said in a statement.
