Alisam Freight Management Acquires Plains Transportation

Alisam CEO Dan Weingart said in a statement that the deal furthers his company’s strategy of providing customers with an array of logistics choices.

The purchase adds 275 tractors and almost 500 trailers, including reefers, to Alisam Freight Management’s trucking fleet, said Rick Staller, president of Bee Trucking, Alisam’s refrigerated freight subsidiary.

Alisam also is a partner in third-party logistics pro­viders Trans Am Logistics International and Operational Transportation Services.
