Agility, a global logistics and freight services company headquartered in Kuwait, has announced a $100 million investment over three years to launch Shipa.com. The platform will help businesses, entrepreneurs and consumers manage freight, e-commerce and urban deliveries online.
It will offer three separate service lines, according to a Dec. 10 press release: Shipa Ecommerce, Shipa Delivery and Shipa Freight.

“Logistics is the backbone of commerce,” Agility Chairwoman Henadi Al-Saleh said. “But it’s complex, and that complexity is disproportionately difficult for small businesses to navigate. Small businesses often lack access to the logistics resources, tools and solutions that larger businesses have.
“Shipa helps close that gap, empowering small businesses to take advantage of the opportunities being created by the global digital economy.”
Agility operates in more than 100 countries and has 22,000 employees. It is the largest private owner of industrial real estate in the Middle East and Africa, according to the press release.
