Trucker Path Launches Single-Trip Spot Insurance

Trucker Path is now providing all-risk spot cargo insurance coverage as single-trip policies and per-load pricing, the trucking technology company announced Sept. 27.
The trucking companies using its mobile application can now access coverage for up to $1 million per load. The service is available directly through the mobile app and is provided by the spot cargo insurance company MiKargo247.
“With these single-trip policies and per-load pricing, drivers and owner-operators can control their costs by choosing which loads to insure and coverage amounts,” said Chris Oliver, chief marketing officer at Trucker Path. “This addition to the Trucker Path Marketplace supports truckers with an essential product.”
Trucker Path said that quotes are generated in seconds and binding coverage can be issued in less than two minutes. The service is aimed at being simple and quick with the process mostly occurring online. The insurer also provides phone, email and text customer support and online claim reporting services.
