Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems announced that its Ultimaax advanced severe-duty rubber suspension in the 60,000-pound capacity rating will be available on Miller Industries’ new Century M100 Rotator tow truck.

“The Miller M100 Rotator on the Peterbilt 389 chassis marks the first new production vehicle in North America to feature the Ultimaax suspension at the 60,000-pound capacity,” said Sean Whitfield, director of marketing for Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems.

The suspension is available in capacities of 46,000, 52,000, 60,000 and 70,000 pounds, and approved for a variety of vocational and severe-duty applications, according to the Woodridge, Ill.-based company.

“In Miller’s Class 8 program, our demand for stability, ride height, suspension recovery, minimum lateral roll and capacity is huge. With the upcoming introduction of Miller’s M100, we needed a suspension that offered a GVW rating higher than 52,000 while still delivering driver comfort,” said John Hawkins, vice president of heavy-duty products at Miller Industries.

Hendrickson is a Boler company and a global manufacturer and supplier of medium- and heavy-duty mechanical, elastomeric and air suspensions; integrated and non-integrated axle and brakes systems; tire pressure control systems, and more. — Transport Topics
