YRC’s Holland Unit to Hire 1,000 Drivers

YRC Worldwide’s Holland unit said Monday it plans to hire about 1,000 drivers this year.

“Building on strong fourth-quarter performance, the company is preparing for further increases in shipments,” the less-than-truckload carrier said in a statement.

“We’re excited at Holland to see that our volumes are building as customers experience the quality service that our team delivers every day,” said Holland President Jeff Rogers.

Holland is a YRC Regional Transportation company offering services throughout the Central, Southeastern, Midwestern United States and Eastern Canada. The unit currently has about 1,700 over-the-road drivers.

YRC is ranked No. 4 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
