Volvo’s North American Deliveries Rise 21%

Volvo Group’s North American heavy-duty truck deliveries rose 21% in October from the same month last year, the company said Nov. 19.

Deliveries of its Volvo and Mack brands in North America rose to 5,834 trucks from 4,811 a year ago, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement.

Volvo brand truck deliveries rose 23% to 3,544 trucks, while Mack’s rose 19% to 1,825.

Year to date, Volvo truck deliveries are up 35% in North America to 28,202 units, and Mack’s are up 25% to 19,426 over the comparable period last year.



Worldwide heavy-duty truck deliveries for all Volvo brands fell 6% to 16,774 units for the month, led by a 22% drop in Europe and 14% decline in South America. Year to date, they are up 5% to 166,758.
