Volvo Reports Higher Sales Through November

olvo AB’s 2006 worldwide truck sales through November rose 3% as trucking companies replaced aging fleets, though U.S. increases were more modest, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

Worldwide sales through the end of last month rose to 201,050 vehicles from 194,609 in the same period last year, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo said, Bloomberg reported.

Volvo brand purchases rose 1% to 95,458 vehicles, sister company Mack Trucks’ sales rose 2% to 34,135 and Renault, which is made in Europe, saw its sales jump 7% to 71,457.
