Aftermarket organization Vipar Heavy Duty Inc. announced it has successfully completed its leadership succession and appointed Chris Baer CEO, effective immediately.

Baer adds the CEO duties to his responsibilities as president, a position he assumed in late October 2016, the Crystal Lake, Illinois-based company said.

Baer succeeds Steve Crowley, who retired after serving more than 16 years as Vipar's president and CEO, a post he retained during the transition.

In January, Baer introduced a new management structure and new leadership roles to help the company achieve its aggressive growth goals, the company said.

“Top on our list of priorities is to improve on our execution, which will help increase our speed to market,” Baer said in a statement.

Vipar Heavy Duty is a North American network of independent aftermarket truck parts distributors.
