U.S. Trade Deficit Grows in February

The U.S. trade deficit jumped 7.4% in February as imports climbed 1.7%, the Commerce Department said Tuesday.

The gap between imports and exports rose to $39.7 billion from a revised $37 billion in January, Commerce said.

The deficit grew more than economists’ forecasts of a $38.5 billion gap, Bloomberg reported.

Exports rose 0.2% to $143.4 billion, Commerce said.
