U.S. Trade Deficit Expands 15.8% in November

The U.S. trade deficit increased by 15.8% in November, the Commerce Department said Friday.

The gap between imports and exports grew to $48.7 billion from $42.1 billion in October.

Commerce previously estimated the October gap to be $42.2 billion.

Economists had projected a $41.3 billion deficit for November, Bloomberg News reported.



Imports decreased 3.8% to $231.3 billion, while exports increased 1% to $182.6 billion.
