PS Inc. signed an order with Airbus SAS for 10 Airbus A380 cargo jets valued at $2.8 billion, Bloomberg reported Tuesday.

UPS first committed to buying the planes in January because of growing demand for international delivery services, Bloomberg said. The carrier will receive the new aircraft between 2009 and 2012, Airbus said today in a statement.

UPS hasn't yet chosen an engine supplier for the new A380s, France-based Airbus said.

UPS is ranked No. 1 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
