UPS Names New Presidents of Europe, Emerging Markets Divisions

UPS Inc. said it has appointed Cindy Miller president of UPS Europe and Derek Woodward president of Emerging Markets. Both appointments are effective April 30.

Miller, currently president of UPS U.K., Ireland and Nordics, has held a variety of leadership positions with UPS in the United States and Europe the company said in a March 21 announcement.

She will succeed Jim Barber, who was recently appointed president of UPS International.

Woodward, who is president of global integrations, has “extensive international experience” in markets that have experienced rapid growth, such as China, UPS said.



In his new role, Woodward will lead a new team dedicated to developing and implementing UPS’s emerging markets strategy.

UPS is ranked No. 1 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
