PS Inc. said late Monday that Chief Financial Officer Scott Davis was given the additional position of vice chairman and announced the retirement of John Beystehner, the company’s chief operating officer.

Davis’ appointment is effective immediately, UPS said. He is currently responsible for all activities related to the company’s accounting, auditing, finance, financial planning, taxes and

reasury. He was elected to the UPS board of directors in February.

UPS said it will name a successor to Beystehner as COO at a later date. In addition to that position, he was also president of UPS Airlines and a member of the company’s board. He was with the company for 36 years.

UPS is ranked No. 1 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
