TravelCenters of America Announces Executive Changes

TravelCenters of America announced President and CEO Thomas O’Brien will retire and has resigned effective Dec. 31.

The company appointed as its new CEO Andrew Rebholz, a 20-year veteran of TA and currently the company’s chief financial officer.

Barry Richards, a 17-year veteran of TA, was named president and chief operating officer. William Myers, TA’s current chief accounting officer, was named chief financial officer.

O’Brien’s retirement agreement with TA provides that he will remain an employee to assist with the transition of his duties until June 30, 2018, and thereafter be available to assist on an as-needed basis, according to the Westlake, Ohio-based company.



The company’s travel centers operate under the brand names TravelCenters of America, TA, Petro Stopping Centers and Petro and offer diesel and gasoline fueling, full and quick service restaurants, truck maintenance and repair services.
