TransForce Reports Improved 2Q Earnings

anadian transportation and logistics firm TransForce Income Fund reported Wednesday that its second-quarter net income was $23.7 million or 39 cents a share, compared with $16.6 million or 29 cents a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter increased 39.6% to $316 million, the company said in a statement. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization grew to $42.6 million from $28.6 million a year ago.

TransForce in May completed acquisition of Quebec trucking company Group Gregoire, which specializes in transborder trucking, which has 245 tractors and utilizes 45 owner-operators. (Click here for previous coverage.)
