TransForce Acquires Quebec Trucking Company

ontreal-based transportation and logistics firm TransForce Income Fund said Tuesday it had completed acquisition of Quebec trucking firm Le Groupe Fortier.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Le Group Fortier includes Transport Fortier and Boostway International Corp., which specialize in truckload and less-than-truckload shipments between the United States and Canada.

Le Group Fortier has annual revenue of about $42 million a year and a fleet of 150 trucks and 325 trailers, TransForce said in a statement.

The company’s president, Real Fortier, will continue to manage Le Group Fortier’s operations.

TransForce is ranked No. 26 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
