Trailer Market: End of a Slide - Rebound Predicted In Demand for Both Vans, Non-Vans

Trailer makers and analysts interviewed by Transport Topics said they expected demand to pick up this year, driven by several forces affecting trucking.

Some said fleets were likely to spend more money on new trailers because tough economic conditions continue to force weaker carriers out of business, leaving the survivors with more freight and a need for extra equipment to haul it.
