Exhibition visitors had a wide range of products to examine.
The meeting, held from March 6 to 9 at the Opryland Hotel, not only gave fleet maintenance managers the opportunity to discuss new maintenance techniques, it also provided a forum for the introduction of new products.

Big and small providers of equipment, parts and services turned out to let visitors browse through displays and collect information on what is available. Also, several companies talked of joint efforts to enhance components.

Among the announcements was a partnership between Mack Trucks and Eaton VORAD Technologies. The two companies are working together to develop a new cruise control system, which would complement a collision avoidance system by automatically slowing a truck that might be following another vehicle too closely.
