Geocomtms Adds Dynamic Sourcing Component to A.MAZE Petroleum Application

Geocomtms on Thursday added Dynamic Sourcing to A.MAZE Petroleum, the company’s fleet management application for trucking companies hauling petroleum products, in an effort to help dispatchers select the most efficient tank reload points.

The Dynamic Sourcing system optimizes the selection of reload points based on product availability and cost and customer proximity, Geocomtms said in a statement.

“Vehicles used to transport petroleum often carry multiple products, such as different grades of fuel, within different compartments of a single tank,” said Michael Nark, president and chief executive officer of Geocomtms. “Factoring in the additional consideration of when and where to reload tanks makes it exponentially more difficult to plan routes manually.” Transport Topics
