Swift Partners With Internet Truckstop
The truckload carrier said the move adds trucks at a time when companies are finding their databases of qualified carriers shrinking.
“By streamlining our processes, we will increase our pool of qualified carriers and move more freight,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.
Swift said using Internet Truckstop’s Carrier Registration Service Plus reduces the time it takes to qualify new carriers and integrate them into its transportation management system. CRS Plus allows new carriers to provide profile data including contacts, equipment, lanes and commodities they haul to see if they match Swift’s requirements.
A carrier can then view and sign Swift’s master agreements. Integration with TMS that now takes some companies more than 24 hours is reduced to less than 6 minutes, Swift said.
CRS Plus provides clients with carrier profiles as well as W-9 data and certificate of insurance information directly from the insurers. It also offers authority status, safety ratings and CSA scores, Swift said.
Swift Transportation is ranked No. 7 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
