Summit Adds International Perspective

nterest in the Diesel Engine Emissions Summit continued growing last week, as the number of people registered grew sharply and more trucking industry experts were added to the June 10 program.

More than 600 people are now registered to attend the summit and the related summer meeting of the Technology & Maintenance Council in Phoenix. The summit will be hosted by Transport Topics and TMC, both divisions of American Trucking Associations.

New panelists and speakers added to the program last week included scientists from both sides of the Atlantic, a Transportation Department official, two leading carrier executives, an engine-maker executive and an authority on fuel refining.

Two of the new panelists are a top European diesel expert and a scientist from the Environmental Protection Agency.
