Strick Trailers announced the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Monroe, Ind., adding a 44,000-square-foot production line dedicated to its custom trailer business.
The expansion will add 30 jobs.
Strick can focus on specialized, customized products that demand specific requirements, which many larger trailer manufacturers turn down, according to the company.
“This expansion gives us the flexibility to build low-volume, specialized trailers with shorter lead times. By shifting the production of our more customized, special order trailers from our main production line to the new line, we have increased our overall production capacity by 25%,” Jim Gazdick, vice president of operations at Strick, said in a statement.
