Georgia is mulling a state-wide 1% sales tax to replace its gasoline tax while Oregon has started charging some drivers a per-mile fee in lieu of a gas tax, USA Today said.

Since 1992, only Missouri, Utah and Wyoming’s taxes have kept pace with inflation, USA Today reported, citing the National Conference of State Legislators.
