ruck drivers were stranded at truck stops in Colorado as the region around Denver was pounded by a spring blizzard Sunday, the Associated Press reported.
The storm brought up to two feet of heavy, wet snow, cutting power to thousands and shutting airports, AP said.
Most airlines had delayed or canceled flights, including United Airlines, the biggest carrier at Denver International Airport, officials told AP.
Flights also were canceled out of Colorado Springs, and conditions shut down highways, AP reported.
AP said there were no immediate reports of any deaths or injuries due to the storm.
A similar storm hit the area in March 2003, AP said.
