South Carolina Logistics Company Opens Second Location in Charleston

Wainwright Industries, part of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, announced plans on June 17 to add a second Charleston location to serve customers of the South Carolina Ports Authority.

Wainwright Industries describes itself as a fifth-party logistics company providing third-party logistics companies with service, including Fortune 100 companies.

“Wainwright is a leading service provider in the forest products market, SCPA’s top commodity by volume. Its growing footprint in Charleston is critical to supporting the cargo volume increases expected at our port in the years ahead,” said Jim Newsome, SPCA's president and CEO.

The move would allow the Charleston ports to receive rail-dependent cargo, such as paper, from the southeast, according to the company.

“This expansion will complement our existing service offerings and allow us to establish new business partners in the ever growing South Carolina region,” said David Robbins, Wainwright & TVS president and CEO.

TVS has been around for more than 100 years and employs 60,000 people globally in 30 countries.
