Share the Road Drivers to Host Mass. Event Friday

Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Tim Murray (D) will open a safety presentation Friday to be given by American Trucking Associations’ Share the Road program.

Share the Road is a group of professional truck drivers with millions of accident-free driving miles.

ATA, the Massachusetts Motor Transport Association, Massachusetts State Police and others will demonstrate safety measures that are critical to saving lives on the state’s highways.

STR drivers will give tips on blind spots, driving in construction zones, safe-merging techniques, and stopping and following distances.

The event will start at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Best Western Royal Trade Plaza, 181 Boston Post Road West, in Marlborough, Mass.
