Less-than-truckload carrier Saia Inc. announced that it has launched a mobile-friendly version of its less-than-truckload freight website and said it expects to invest $7 million in new technology this year.

The Johns Creek, Georgia-based carrier redesigned its website and released an app last year.

“The future of the Internet is mobile, as the public’s preference for accessing and receiving information on the go continues to grow,” Sally Buchholz, vice president of marketing and customer service, said in a statement. “With that in mind, we designed the new site so that customers can easily manage their supply chains from wherever they may be.”

Saia is ranked No. 22 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
