hile truck drivers put their skills to the test behind the wheel at the ATA National Truck Driving Championships, commercial vehicle inspectors from the United States, Canada and Mexico will be testing their ability to spot safety defects on big rigs and commercial buses.

As many as 53 contestants from police, public safety and transportation agencies will vie for the title of grand champion in the ninth annual North American Inspectors’ Championships this week at the Minneapolis Convention Center in conjunction with the driver championships.
