EpicVue offers more than 100 channels of DirecTV programming, including HBO/Cinemax, Showtime and the NFL Sunday Ticket directly into the driver’s sleeper for a monthly subscription fee and without upfront hardware costs. Salt Lake City-based EpicVue markets its service as a driver recruitment and retention tool and way to improve driver quality of life.

“We felt that EpicVue would add a comfort of home to our tractors,” said Billy Millican, owner of Royal Trucking. “We also believe it will help our retention efforts and offset the $3,000 it cost us to recruit each new driver.”

West Point, Miss.-based Royal Trucking provides the dry van, flatbed and specialized equipment services across the Continental United States and parts of Canada. It has terminals in Georgia and Mississippi.

The EpicVue package includes an external satellite dome, DirecTV receiver, 24-inch flatscreen TV, mounting and cabling equipment and a local area antennae. It offers a rear, window or roof mount, while the dome weighs 10 pounds, and is 13.5 inches high and 14.3 inches around.
